Fashion hijabs are becoming the outlook of many Muslim women
today. The hijab combines practicing Islam together with the
joy of living in Islam. A variety of colours that God has
provided us with are used in various combinations. The hijab
is not only styled using the colour but also studying factors
such as ease of use, durability, price, and transparency.
Fashion hijabs vary from the al Amira range to the pashminas.
The Al Amira hijab range consists of cotton-rich
polyester scarves made for the working woman in mind. The
al amira hijab was also initially designed for women who had
physically demanding day to day
activities. This kind of hijab has now become
more fashionable while still trying to keep hold of its initial
qualities. The most common kind of al Amira hijab is a one
piece hijab. A one piece hijab comes with and without laces
on the forehead. It has various colours from pink to green
and red. Nowadays al Amira one piece hijabs are also available
in dual colour schemes where two contrasting or matching colours
have been combined into a single hijab.
Another type of al al amira hijab is the two
piece hijab. The two piece hijab also comes in with and without
lace models. This hijab has a cap separated from the actual
scarf body. The cap has to be worn before wearing the rest
of the hijab. The two piece al Amira hijab has models with
embroidery and beads on the cap, diamantes on the cap, dual
colour schemes and many more. The plain two piece hijabs seem
to be the most popular at present. These hijabs are probably
the most firm and fitted hijabs in terms of grip on the head.
It would be very unusual if a two piece hijab slipped off
somebody's head.
The one piece hijab and the two piece hijab
is also available in a children's sizes. There is a standard
hijab size for children for up to the age of about twelve
after which the adult regular hijab sizes should be used.
The al amira hijab is also available in super extra large
sizes for larger heads.
The pashminas hijab range is probably one
of the fastest upcoming and selling hijab ranges in the world.
It is made from cotton, polyester, silk and many other combinations
of materials. The pashmina hijab is only available in a rectangular
shape rather than a square shape. Pashminas are worn by many
people Muslim and non-Muslim alike as pashminas can be worn
with abayas, modern jilbabs and even jeans for some people.
The pashmina hijab has a variety of colours, probably the
largest range of colours and designs in the hijab world.
Another hijab range would be Shaylas. A shayla
hijab is simply a rectangular hijab made of very thin cloth
and a narrow design flowing through. It is mainly used to
cover just the head or just the neck of the person wearing
the shayla hijab. The shayla hijab is very popular in the
Middle-East especially in the United Arab Emirates. This kind
of hijab is usually worn with modern jilbabs and jalabiyas.
Shaylas are mostly available in bright colours as it is a
summer trend.
Square hijabs is also a whole range of hijabs
in itself. A square hijab is approximately fifty two inches
on each side. This kind of hijab comes in all possible colours
and designs with and without embroidery. The square hijab
are popular in Asian countries as well as in Turkey, Eastern
and Central Africa and parts of North Africa. The square hijab
is made of cotton or georgette and is stitched round all four
borders to get a smooth edge. This hijab style has been around
for as long as most people could remember.
Another hijab style is the netted hijab. The
netted hijab is precisely as it is called, a netted design.
This hijab comes in rectangular format and is also available
in various colours. The netted hijab is usually worn on top
of another hijab or on a hijab bonnet cap. This kind of hijab
is a summer design and so is mostly available during the summers
in large varieties. The netted hijab partly inspired the creation
of the Kuwaiti hijab which will be explained shortly.
The Kuwaiti hijab is presently the most popular
hijab in the market. It consists of a main hijab portion that
is cotton rich and a rectangular netted hijab section which
is attached at the neck potion of the main hijab with one
end left unattached. Once the main part of the Kuwaiti hijab
is worn the netted hijab section is wrapped around the main
hijab portion and attached with a hijab pin at the end or
tucked in at the neck. The netted hijab portion has a satin
border usually. Kuwaiti hijabs are worn all year round and
are now available in various materials from cotton to silk
and polyester. The Kuwaiti hijab is very convenient to wear
and has a stylish outlook to it. It has been in the market
for around two years but has recently gained popularity after
being introduced by more retailers such as Muslimbase.com.
A modification of the Kuwaiti hijab design
which is slowly gaining pace in the market is the Kuwaiti
joint hijab. This hijab is similar to the Kuwaiti hijab in
design and style except that the second netted portion is
attached on both sides to the neck portion. To wear this kind
of hijab the second portion has to be twisted once and then
worn over the main portion of the hijab forming a loose lining
over it with a knot in the front of the neck. The Kuwaiti
joint hijab also has a tighter main portion at the neck section
as the Kuwaiti joint hijab can not be tightened using the
netted section. The fashion hijab is changing at a faster rate
with demand for the hijab on the rise. The design of the hijab
will also get modified over time as the realisation of the
needs of the hijab wearers is endorsed. The hijab is a sense
of freedom not imprisonment. The hijab should be worn with
pride and dignity as it is a sign of the Ideal Muslimah and
is here to stay until the day of judgement.
